Um, me. My life. Um. I spent this spring break in my house,
mostly not working on my senior project, or walking the streets around
my house (unseasonably warm this week), or looking for a job on the
internet.
I have applied to Mayo Clinic! Huzzah! now. I. wait. And I
am applying to the VanAndel Summer Program. I don't really know why; I
need a full time with benefits job (so say all the adults in my
life). I am looking for jobs all around the country right
now. That aspect is really exciting--in a few months, I could be
in New York, Arizona, California, or ...Minnesota, the glamour state,
starting a new life, starting my life after college, starting a
career. *sigh* (mini panic attack) And of course, everyone
(okay, only Pete so far) is asking me about the essential questions I
should be asking when looking for a job--What's the pay, what are the
benefits like, what is the vacation like, who would you be working
with. And I simply say, "I like Arizona." Maybe that is
what matters, what only matters right now to me...Where this job
is. Or where it isn't--Michigan. Well, West Michigan.
Even with little Abby on the way and a nagging mom, I have no real
reason to narrow my search only to the 4 counties surrounding
Muskegon. Besides, the job market for research people is crap
right now. (This job search would be a great time to bring
up a request for prayer...For a suitable job and an understanding
mother). (:
